What the call covers
Emergency AC Repair in Hampton
Emergency AC repair in Hampton answers a residential or commercial air conditioner that quits in the summer heat.
The work itself is an AC repair done sooner: trace the part that stopped the cooling, replace it, and run the system until the air at the vents is cold again.
Where a no-cooling call usually ends
Run capacitor
A weak "run capacitor" leaves the outdoor fan or compressor humming without turning.
Contactor
A pitted or stuck "contactor" keeps the outdoor unit from starting, or from stopping.
Blower motor
When the indoor "blower motor" fails, the outside unit runs but no air reaches the rooms.
Condensate drain
A clogged "condensate drain" trips the float switch that shuts the cooling off to stop a leak.
Call right away
When an AC Failure Will Not Wait
An air conditioner that quits during a heat wave, especially with older adults or young children at home, will not wait for a routine visit.
A closed-up house gains heat quickly on a humid afternoon, and the sticky air makes every degree feel worse. If you cannot tell which side of the line you are on, call and describe what the system is doing; we will give you a straight answer.
Call today
Do not sit on these
- The outdoor unit hums but its fan never turns
- Water spilling from the indoor unit onto a floor or ceiling
- A burning smell, or a breaker that trips again after a reset
Can usually be booked
These can take a regular service slot
- It still cools, just slower than it used to
- A new rattle while the air stays cold
- A tune-up before the hot months arrive
Before you pick up the phone
Quick Checks Before the Call
Checking the thermostat, the filter and the breaker before you call can bring the cooling back or speed up the repair.
Run through these from the hallway and the side yard. None of them means opening up the unit.
Thermostat set to cool
Make sure it reads Cool, not Heat or Off, and is set below the room's temperature. A blank screen usually means dead batteries.
A clean filter
A filter packed with dust starves the coil of air until it ices over. Slide in a fresh filter and let any ice melt before you switch the cooling back on.
The breaker and outdoor disconnect
Look for a tripped AC breaker in the panel and make sure the disconnect box beside the outdoor unit is on. If the breaker trips again after a reset, leave it off.
Still warm after all of that? Then it is a part, and that is our end of the job.

What it costs
What an Emergency Repair Costs
An emergency AC repair is priced like any other repair, by the part that failed and the time it takes to put right. A capacitor or a contactor sits near the low end; a compressor, or a refrigerant leak found and sealed, sits near the high end.
